Lately....

I have been in a real art slump lately. I decided today that I will pick up a paintbrush and create something. It's for my own good (I think this is due to the cold weather...it does something to a person's mood).

My best friend through grade school to high school, Lindsey, is getting married this June. I let her down by not making it to her wedding shower (Morgan had the flu). I couldn't think of anything she would need....and so I painted for her. Here is a quick painting I did of her and Tom....

Skeleton Family

Here is a piece of artwork I made in 2007. I met my wonderful fiance a year later and at that time posted the artwork to ebay to sell it. I got a bid!!! Once the auction was over, we received an email from the buyer asking how to pay for the picture. I looked at the email address and discovered it was MONTT (my fiance!!!). LOL!

Morgan's Mad

I received a letter in the mail last week, hand addressed to me from the city museum that we had visited a few months back. Inside were two pamphlets advertising an art show that is being hosted upstairs of the museum this June. I was ecstatic! So, here is one that I am going to be showing. My art is not contemporary, comforting, or fantastic. It is simple depictions of everyday things that catch my eye. I can't see my work being above anyone's mantelpiece but here it is anyway!!!
